Turnip and Apple Salad- In a bowl grate the turnip roots with a cheese grater, grate 1 whole peeled apple( whatever you have) add ½ tsp celery seed, a pinch of salt, 3 TBS lemon juice, 1 TBS olive oil, and a handful of raisins. Toss together and place in a covered container in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Eat up!

Ginger Turnip Greens- In a pan add 2 TBS vegetable oil, 1 chopped garlic scape or garlic clove, 1 tsp salt , 1 TBS grated fresh ginger. Add the chopped turnip greens to the pan , toss to coat and put the lid on for 2 minutes. While cooking mix together 2 TBS soy sauce, 2 TBS brown Sugar, 1 TBS rice wine vinegar, pour the sauce over the wilted greens. After the greens are coated add ¼ tsp ( a few splashes) of sesame oil to the pan ( or toasted sesame seeds) serve with brown rice!
